Gross! 3 of the Dirtiest Cities in America are in Texas
Nobody likes to live in a dirty place, but when you’re dealing with a large population there are going to be people that don’t clean up after themselves. Recently there was an article released by House Fresh detailing the dirtiest cities in the country and unfortunately there were 3 Texas cities that made their top 20 list.
Beyond people not cleaning up after themselves there are lots of other factors that can create a dirty city including pollution, pests, healthcare problems, and poor sanitation. They created this list by looking at a total of 12.3 million sanitation-related complaints over the past year to create their dirty cities list. After collecting all of their information they discovered that Baltimore was the dirtiest city in the country, while Milwaukee is the cleanest.
Houston Doesn’t Complain Much
As you will see below Houston made the list of the dirtiest cities in America but they also got kudos within this report as they had the fewest complaints about sanitary conditions only 19 complaints per 100k population. While that is good, that also tells us that people in Houston just aren’t going to complain about things.
Besides Houston What Cities Made the List of Dirty Cities?
Houston made the list, but two other heavily populated areas in Texas made the list as well. You can find Dallas and Austin also on the list of the dirtiest cities in America. Big population sizes will obviously make it easy for these cities to make the list. Which is just more reason why we need to make sure we pick up after ourselves, and don’t litter. You know, Don’t Mess With Texas.
