When spring hits, the bluebonnets are in full force, providing a natural cover for hiking trails with stunning views. But the real showstopper? Actual dinosaur tracks. Yep, real ones.

As a kid, my parents took me to Dinosaur Valley all the time. I remember being a bit skeptical. I mean, how could those tracks be real? The giant dinosaur statues obviously weren't, so I assumed the tracks were just for show, too.
Turns out, those tracks are 100% legit. Dinosaurs once roamed the area around the Paluxy River, and they left their footprints behind in the riverbed for us to marvel at millions of years later.
These pictures don't do the park justice. You have to check out Dinosaur Valley to take in the history of these big beasts in Texas. I tell ya, it doesn’t get much better than this.

So, grab the kiddos and plan a trip this summer to where dinosaurs once roamed the earth in Texas at Dinosaur Valley State Park.
